This particular course concerns music teaching and children’s singing. The course analyzes the following:
- Theories and concepts of the most important music educators (C. Orff, Z. Kodaly, E.J. Dalcroze, etc.), the content of their systems in detail and its application in preschool education through musical activities based on it.
- Parallel learning of children’s songs (Greek and non-Greek) using mainly melodic percussion instruments, flute, rhythm instruments, piano accompaniment. Methods of teaching them to kindergarten children. Exemplary lessons in the classroom and on DVD.
- Making improvised musical instruments (sistra, maracas, drums, bells, guitars, flutes, trumpets, tambourines, tambourines, etc.) with simple materials (plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, flower pots, rubber bands, balloons, reeds, seeds and fruits, colored paper and cardboard, etc.). Accompaniment of children’s songs with the above improvised musical instruments.
- Introduction to the theory and history of music as well as the most basic musical forms.
